Our Work
Lotus Outreach Australia is an incorporated charitable association based in Sydney and staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers under the guidance of our International Chairman, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
- By working together with other Lotus Outreach chapters worldwide, we aim to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of our efforts to address child exploitation and trafficking which are now global phenomena.
- Our aim is to raise funds, foster awareness and support local community programs that improve educational and health outcomes for children caught in the cycle of poverty.
- Our work depends on the generosity of our voluntary team and our donor-partners who dedicate time, energy and funds to ensure that we can put compassion into action as effectively as possible.

Partners of Lotus Outreach Donors
The success of Lotus Outreach relies on the support of our contributors, the Partners of Lotus Outreach. By minimising administrative costs, we are able to ensure that the bulk of all gifts goes to those who need it most - children at risk.
With these generous donations, Lotus Outreach Australia has been able to join with our affiliates around the world to accomplish many acts of practical compassion, including:
- education for many Tibetan refugee children in India
- computer training for street kids in New Delhi
- support for hundreds of girls in the Girls Access to Education program
Lotus Fund-raising
We have two main fund-raising streams:
- Program partnership - your donation provides direct financial support for our international programs. This can take the form of either individual gifts or corporate sponsorship. We are able to offer tax deductibility on all gifts.
- Event sponsorship - contributions to our annual fund-raising events either through ticket purchase, in-kind donations or seed funding (see EVENTS 2007)
