A gift to Lotus Outreach Australia makes you a partner in changing the lives of vulnerable children. Your support can take the form of single or regular donations.
Every cent donated is put to good use. In Cambodia:
- $25 supports advocacy programs for the rights of women and children
- $350 educates one girl at risk of trafficking for one year in the GATE program
Our aim is to ensure 6 full years of education for each girl in the GATE program. We encourage our donors to consider a long-term commitment.
- A$2100 ensures 6 years of education for one girl in the GATE program.
You Can Help!
A small sum of money goes a long way in Cambodia, where over a third of the population lives on less than $1 per day. Here is just a snapshot of what your generosity can do to help us keep our girls enrolled in school (examples given in AUD):
- $10 will provide one girl with two school uniforms and a book bag.
- $15 will provide one girl with a raincoat, shoes and hat so she can get to school during the long monsoon season.
- $25 will provide one girl with enough rice to feed her family for a month so she will not be taken out of school and put to work.
- $60 will provide one girl with a heavy-terrain bicycle so she can traverse the considerable distance from her home to the nearest schoolhouse.
- $100 will provide medical coverage to 20 girls to ensure they thrive both physically and mentally during the coming school year.
- $300 will provide a full scholarship to one girl in for coming academic year.
- $2,000 will support the education of one girl for six years.
Tax deductible donations
We are a Community Partner in the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific which enables us to offer tax deductibility to our donors.
Donations can be made by credit card, cheque or cash. If donor wants a make a tax deductable donation, please make payment directly to AFAP (as explained below).

All donations made by cheque must be made payable to AFAP to receive tax-deductability.
Please find below the ATO guidelines.
- In your payments to AFAP please make a reference to LOA. eg make check payable to: AFAP (LOA).
- Cheques for donations must be sent directly to AFAP - PO Box 12 Crows Nest 1585.
- Donations made by phone, credit card must be made to AFAP.
- If donations are made directly to the CP (community partner) in any way, donors will not be entitled to an Australian income tax deduction.
- If no Tax Deduction required please make payment to Lotus Outreach Australia.
- All Lotus Outreach products are not applicable for tax donations therefore payments should be made directly to Lotus Outreach Australia.
